Last Pre-Lockdown Lush Haul

 As our second UK lockdown is quickly getting closer I took the chance during our last family day out in Chester to pop into Lush and see what I could spend some pennies on. I knew roughly what I wanted, I was hoping for some Halloween bath bombs, particularly Punkin Pumpkin (but unfortunately they had sold out of all of those) and the ghost in the dark soap.

The adorable Ghost in the dark soap which is part of the Halloween 2020 collection, the lip service lip balm and lastly the orange shower scrub.

I was really glad to see they had a few ghost in the dark soaps left! I didn't pick one up on my last couple of Lush visits but I couldn't stop thinking about it so I'm glad I finally bought one and my gosh does it glow! I held it up to my phone touch in the bathroom in the night for a few seconds, turned the torch off and I was so surprised how much it was glowing. Its fantastic. A really interesting touch to such an adorable product. This lovely little ghost has a sweet lemon smell, a perfect refreshing scent.

Within the past year or so I've been using lip balms, my first was one from The Body Shop 2019 Christmas range, a sweet Berry scent which I enjoyed using despite having to re apply frequently, but then started on their strawberry scented lip butter which I've found significantly better.  I wanted a second lip balm so that I've always got one near me or as a backup hence my purchase of the lip service by Lush. I am certainly not disappointed with my latest buy! I was expecting it to have a stronger scent than it actually has, it's a very subtle scent but still pleasant. It is really moisturising, so much so that I don't need to constantly re apply it, hallelujah! A great lip product during these colder months.

I'd read a few posts and comments on reddit singing praise for the orange shower scrub. I love orange scents and I enjoy using a body scrub from time to time so it made sense to give this a go. Wow the scent is out of this world! It reminds me of eating Terry's Chocolate Orange at Christmas time. I love how vivid the colour is of this scrub, a real mood booster and the salt is quite fine so it won't feel too abrasive on the skin. I'm really looking forward to giving this a try and I'm keeping everything crossed that we'll get more products in this scent one day!
