Lush February Fresh & Flowers Box Review

On Thursday 11th February 2021 the first ever Lush cosmetics fresh + flowers subscription box came through my door! I was so excited. I was really looking forward to this box after seeing the January PR box that was sent out and then seeing the product photos for the February box. Even though I was already very much looking forward to this box, it exceeded my expectations!

It arrived with my name typed on the side which I must say was a really nice touch, it made it feel personal and added to the excitement. The DPD driver knocked on my door and handed it to me rather than posting it but it definitely is letter box sized.

I'll quickly talk about the packaging, it's eco friendly which is fantastic and I wouldn't expect anything less from Lush. The overall look, I think is very classy looking, it feels luxurious. I knew at this point that I was in for a real treat. Not to mention the instant smell of beautiful roses!

 

When I opened up the top layer of packaging this was the beauty beneath! Oh how I wish you could of smelt the roses. The combination of the fresh flowers and dried petals was just divine. There was SO many dried petals which I wasn't expecting. You can use them in the bath for a nice treat if you wish to do so. Right on top you can see a little note, which appears to be hand written, I'm not sure if it is or not, but it's on thick card with a Lush wax seal stamp and on the card is written a love spell.

The contents of the box were :

1 Glen cocoa face mask 

2 sets of rose infused eye pads (4 pads in total)

1 massage bar

3 beautiful fresh roses

1 tisty tosty bath bomb

I have never used a tisty tosty bath bomb before until this box! And it's definitely one I would consider buying again. I used all of the products, and love spell, during my new moon bath on the evening of getting the box. I was really suprised to see two sets of eye pads so it's nice to have an extra set for a future use. The eye pads are single use only so make sure you bin them once you've used them once.

The Glen cocoa face masks smells exactly how you would expect, of chocolate! It genuinely smells good enough to eat. The consietency is thick but almost buttery. I'm a big fan of face masks so it's always fun trying out a new one.

The rose infused eye pads were cooling and relaxing, I popped mine in the fridge before I used them to make them extra cooling. They have a lovely scent too as you would expect with them being rose infused. 

Tisty tosty, if you haven't used one before, has a lovely subtle rose scent, leaves the water a nice shade of white and once its fizzed out, you are left with rose buds in your water.

Out of the entire box contents, I have to say that so far my favourite is the massage bar. Wow, it is just wonderful. It is so buttery, you only need to pinch a small amount off and it is SO moisturising. I really wish it was a product that was readily available in the UK but unfortunately not, although there is plenty of other Lush massage bars, this one feels extra special with all the petals it has inside. The massage bar, named Fresh Flower, has Avocado butter, cocoa butter, bergamot oil, armoise oil, rose absolute and so many more natural ingredients. The petals are fresh red rose petals and fresh iris petals.

I made a little vase using a vegan mayonnaise jar, specifically for the flowers I'll be receiving each month in my fresh and flowers box. I will very much be looking forward to new posys every month. Fortunately mine arrived all in tact and they are on display in my bedroom.

Overall, as you can see from my review, I am thrilled with this box, all of the contents are great. I love that the theme of this box is so well suited for February and valentines day. Unfortunately due to covid I won't be seeing my partner on valentines day so this box is a nice treat from me to me. If you are considering getting this box, I absolutely recommend it.
